This could rival the "Zemana Anti-Logger" we've already tested. Read that review here - Zemana Antilogger SpyShelter is 'signature free', in that it doesn't rely on identifying patterns within rogue software (like most anti-virus software does) to prevent data loss. However, we've noticed there has been a new release of the software every week for the last 3 weeks - so whilst you may not have to depend on signature downloads to keep this software valid, it still appears to require some minor effort to keep the software itself current. This could of course just be that the software is relatively new, that updates are frequent at the time of writing. In contrast to a lot of these types of utilities, this encryption software is especially easy to use. Within minutes we had selected some files and encrypted them securely. Then it was simple to encrypt email text and attach the file we'd just encrypted and send off as usual. The receivers of the email don't even need QuickCrypto on their system to decrypt the email text (though they will to decrypt the file - though this is OK as a fully functional free trial is available. This software also seems to have many other features; it can recover files and prevent the recovery of files (securely shred files)! It can also remove internet traces (browser privacy), hide files and text in images and sounds (steganography) and much more. We thought it was great! QuickStego is a handy, easy to use tool specially designed to help you hide text in pictures so that only other users of QuickStego can retrieve and read the hidden secret messages. Once text is hidden in an image the saved picture is still a 'picture', it will load just like any other image and appear as it did before. The image can be saved, emailed, uploaded to the web as before, the only difference will be that it contains hidden text.
