We've been playing with some brilliant encryption and privacy software this week called QuickCrypto Professional.

In contrast to a lot of these types of utilities, this encryption software is especially easy to use. Within minutes we had selected some files and encrypted them securely.

Then it was simple to encrypt email text and attach the file we'd just encrypted and send off as usual. The receivers of the email don't even need QuickCrypto on their system to decrypt the email text (though they will to decrypt the file - though this is OK as a fully functional free trial is available.

This software also seems to have many other features; it can recover files and prevent the recovery of files (securely shred files)! It can also remove internet traces (browser privacy), hide files and text in images and sounds (steganography) and much more.

We thought it was great! The file encryption was the most straight-forward we've seen and very quick ... QuickCrypto indeed.
