Here's a novel approach to backing up some of your data ...
You do need a friend with an online PC though. Got one of those :-) ? If so read on ...
Cucku is a "Social Backup" service that lets you and a friend backup data on each others' PC. Your data goes to their PC and vice versa.
Nice concept, especially if it's free ... and it is for "one friend/backup".
So some obvious advantages and disadvantages occur to mind pretty quickly (especially for the free one partner offering); but overall it would be a good additional data availability strategy to complement a more traditional onsite backup to local disc.
We'll give this a try and report back with ease of use and see how those advantages & disadvantages pan out ...
